Home-learning:

The expectations for our children are as follow...

• Readers Monday to Thursday
• Children are encouraged to share their reader with an adult. This will reinforce the joy of reading as well as building reading knowledge. 

• Basic sight words 
• Children will get a set of sight words according to the level they are reading. Please support your child to learn them. 

• Poetry on Friday
• During the week the children have been learning a poem. Each Friday they will take their poetry book home to share with you. It is always good to refer back to the familiar poems. 

• Maths basic facts
• Recognizing numbers up to 20.
• counting forwards to 20 and backwards from 20.
• Practice basic facts in Matific
• Family maths games like snakes and ladders
